About Me
I have worked in the NGO sector (Non-Governmental Organisation), for more than 20 years, both in governance and for the past 14 years, and currently still employed, as a CEO.
I was lucky to have been introduced to the concept of ‘Supervision’ when I first started working as a CEO. While I am technically not a social worker or Councillor/Therapist, which are the usual clients for Supervision, I do work in an industry where I hold a lot of confidential information and work with people who can have complicated issues.

As a CEO, I sometimes feel isolated, sandwiched between the Board and the Operations team I manage. Supervision is the place I go because there is no-where else I can talk about the work-related issues or concerns I experience.
​
I have always felt that employees at all levels within an organisation, regardless of the type of job they do, should have access to something like Supervision, so was very excited to discover Professional Coaching and Mentoring, which is a growing service in Aotearoa New Zealand.
​
Prior to working in the NGO sector, I worked as a tutor in travel and tourism and before that lived and worked in Tanzania, East Africa as the Country Operations Manager of a Safari Company.
​
My work has always been with people and in an unofficial coaching and mentoring role so training to be a professional coach and mentor has been a very natural progression.
